WWI Trench Art 7.5 Inch Brass Candlestick made from an 18 pounder marked VSM 1917
now I know trench art can have been anywhere at any time,
but this is made from an 18pounder shell case
and will make an interesting Christmas table centre piece

as this year is the 100th year commemoration of the outbreak ,

of the great war

As a

p.s to the earlier post on this 18pounder shell candle stick.
I have checked in my book ,
the V S M stands for Vickers son & Maxim,
and signifies that the shell was a post amalgamation with ,
the Swedish shell manufacturer Nordenfelt made shell,...
that and its not in a circle,
the C.F stands for (full cordite charge)
the primer is stamped 2/17
