Unknown Insignia on Brodie Helmet

ZE59

Recommended Posts

I have a Brodie helmet of unknown origin with an interesting insignia. The insignia is what appears to be a red warrior on a white background with 101 printed above it. The stamping on the helmet is ZE59. Does anyone have ideas??

The helmet is an American WW1 made M1917 Brodie, these helmets were used up to and during the early part of WW2.

The insignia is most likely of an American unit.

Thank you Kenny and Leon for your reply. I'd love to post a picture, but can't figure out how to do so. I'm using an iPad.

Here's 2 helmet insignia for the 101st Regiment which were part of the 26th Yankee Division, Newly formed from National

Guard units on 5th August 1917. Formed for the ( AEF ) also known by it's veterans as the ( Sacrifice Division ).

The 26th Division was the 1st complete American Division to arrive in France.
