The Hitler Youth Archive Topic - I Need You!

Hi everyone!

I need as much help here as possible. I am trying to collect a digital archive of anything Hitler Youth, anything. From photos to flags, I am looking for as much to do with the organisation as possible. Post as much as you want here.

I plan on making the archive public at a later stage for the benefit of all collectors.

Got any items you need help with? Post them here! Reference on modern replicas is a must-have as well as genuine items.

The Hitler Youth is like a few other Nazi organisations, annoying and hard to research on in certain areas, for example the musical instruments and vehicle units. We only know so much about certain aspects and items, the key to further research and findings is in private collectors who may have unseen photos or items. There are some great books, many of which I own, but I am still certain there is missing information and items, especially with rare HJ divisions such as the Kreigsmarine units. I still am finding information and new facts that I cannot trace to current books, this is why I think there is more to be uncovered and made public.

I really would appreciate anything you can post. I have been through the forum already looking for bits so have amassed a fairly large and organised folder already.

Thanks everyone,

Kyle B)

Here's an unusual item from when the Hitler Youth visited Japan in 1938, we used to have a lantern from this visit too but sold it a couple of weeks ago.

Pretty sure the Hitler youth drummer is modern as I think we used to sell these about 10 years ago in the shop. Did not know there was a Palistinian Hitler youth ,very interesting photo, have you anymore information on them?

Thanks for the photos Colin! There is hardly any info on these pins if they are common fakes or not. If I was to guess I would say it is real though, the chipping is typical of these ones and I myself have a couple with a similar condition, all seem genuine.

If you have female related items (Bund Deutscher Mädel) that would be great, as long as they was involved with the Hitler Youth, all is much appreciated. :)

The Hitler Youth did have a small unit in a village called Alonei Abba in Palestine. All subsidized by the Nazis thanks to a deal that helped German schools etc outside of Germany so they could align themselves to the Nazis and their ideals. The Hitler Youth was obviously an important tool for the Nazis to help spread their ideas outside of Germany to youth who could be easily brainwashed. :

I'll see what I can dig out for you, I've scanned a few pages from this High school year book for 1938/39 you may find the

information of use if you've not got one.post-3823-0-36343000-1400790238_thumb.jpgpost-3823-0-80551400-1400790283_thumb.jpgpost-3823-0-94824300-1400790321_thumb.jpgpost-3823-0-10398900-1400790371_thumb.jpgpost-3823-0-07321000-1400790414_thumb.jpgpost-3823-0-01131600-1400790448_thumb.jpgpost-3823-0-79371000-1400790479_thumb.jpg

Excellent thanks again Colin!

I seriously appreciate you taking the time to scan the high school book. Not got one like that so it will be very useful.

I have started adding everything to an online database that will hopefully be ready soon, from then on it is a non-stop work in progress as new photos and items are added and documented.

Excellent Colin! :)

Do you have anything relating to the Hitler Youth air force units? At one point they did have their own prop-aircraft as well as the standard gliders. I have only ever found one photo of the cockpit section of one, not the full aircraft.

Hi Kyle, the H.J Flieger boys that were successful with gliders would progress into the Luftwaffe training schools to learn

to fly the fighters / bombers or the bigger gliders like the DFS.230.

Here are some photo's from training centre and repair airbase Pardubitz 32. (Schule/Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 32)

who started as a training schule from Oct 1939.It was later renamed as Flugzeugfuhrerschule (A/B) 32 Germany.

Types of aircraft used for training were.

AR.66 - AR.68 - AR.96 - BU.131 - BU.181 - C.445 - FW.44 - FW.58 - GO.145 - HE.45 - HE.72 - K.135 - S.328 - E.39 - SG.38

W.33 - W.34 - ME.108.

The Godenwind Tinnie is a nice find, they are quite rare so any examples are useful. :)
