WW1 Prussian Heer Buckle

Hi guys, yet another arrival today, this is a nice Prussian late war buckle probably dating around 1918 :)

Nice Ben , have you got any of the pre war Imperial buckles ,I used to collect them from the different states ? I think they were slightly larger then the WW1/2 types.

Yes the 1880's had big pickelhaubes and big buckles, I used to get them in all the time but you hardly see either now.

correct. They were still re-issued during WW1 as can be seen in many photos. The guards regiments still wore them on the peacetime uniform.
