leon21 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 A British WW2 submarine has been found nearly 70 years after it was sunk by a German mine. Only 11 of HMS Olympus's 109-strong crew survived the tragedy as it left Malta in May 1942. The sub said by divers to look pristine sitting upright on the bottom will be designated a war grave. 1 Quote
RAF635SQ Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Glad to see this ones being left alone and not raised, its always sad when greedy military dealers try and get items from inside these sorts of things without any respect for the grave that it is. Same thing happens a lot in Russia sadly still. Im all for saving these ships if there was little loss of live though. 1 Quote
