Came across this image of a 1942 issue nazi banknote still being used in 1948. After the war the old German banknote were still valid in all parts of Germany. the introdution of new in the western occupied zones and the the restricted exchange of the old into the new money caused a problem in the Soviet occupied zone.here the old bills were still the valid currency. In order to avoid the banknotes being brought over from the west to be used in the East,the banknotes were marked with stickers, until the money reform of 1948.

notgelds, the small cards are called i just remembered, whilst looking through them.

i have some old german bank notes and other small cards notgelds i believe, going to have a look at them for stamps.
