In WW1 the bronze war medal was awarded to those who had served as labourers and porters behind the lines.
Given largely to Indian, Chinese, Maltese and South African Labour Corps, and those who served in the Maltese
and Macedonian Mule Corps.
Approximately 110,000 to 240,000 were issued making this a scarce medal, which is now being faked.
