ok! all you bright sparks out there,
the first photo is of a regimental marking ,

on a 1790-95 ,brown bess stock anybody know which regiment ??

PDL is not a regiment.It is a maker..Paul D. Laudersloss of Germany.

HQ over 19 is, I believe, just a generic rack number with no unit identification - a letter over a number was a quite common system for numbering arms.

I wasn't sure.

but this I am sure about is after extensive research,

this is no ordinary brown bess,

it is in fact a " sea service " brown bess issued to the navy and kept on board ship ,

and issued when necessary ,

I think P.D. Lüneschloss is meant here, this firm existed also one hundred years later and usually manufactured edged weapons
