sommewalker
As the season to be jolly is rapidly approaching yet again, I thought it was about time I shared, some Christmas cards from the R N D in the great war, the 1st 2 photos are my favourite card which was printed in 1916 the next 3 photos are also from 1916, but from the internment camp H M S TIMBERTOWN in GRONINGEN HOLLAND, the 3rd card was printed in 1917 and has an interesting cartoon inside , the 4th one from the divisions chaplains was the last in 1918, what they do show is the sense of humour amidst all that death and destruction, a semblance of humanity could still be seen , through humour, thank you lads for all my Christmases, in the past and future.........................................
