US dog tag research

Recommended Posts

hey guys not been on here for a while I know but been observing from the sidelines for a while.

Bought a US dog tag a while back with a French museum ticket indicating from American GI who died 13/6/44

Found enlistment record and death record from 13/06/44 in Normandy but nothing else.

Believe the soldier could have been in infantry regiment 23 of 2nd division us army and possibly died during the capture of hill 192.

Can anyone help me trace war records of this GI

Many thanks

R
