POW Driver Permit 1945

Here's a Driver Permit for POW Obergefreiter Karl Heinz Rode 31G2315706 working as a driver for the American Army in the

American Zone of France in December of 1945. And a letter written to his father Karl Rode of 19 Kieler Strasse Schuntersiedlung

very neat bit of history. He's lucky to be a US POW too, they put him to work driving around and I bet he got home eventually... the Soviets put theirs too work and most were never seen again
