Last entry was for September 1951 - surprising that these documents were not replaced earlier. Even items like currency were still in use. I recently saw a 1947 dated zinc 10 Pf. piece with an eagle and no swastika, but still DEUTSCHES REICH, this was discontinued after 1949/50 with the new currency, first the Rentenmark issued by Bank Deutscher Länder, and then the D-Mark - with Bundesrepublik Deutschland - this of course, only for the Western Zones. At the same time, the Russians created the DDR and it's new currency (Ost-) Mark.

Looks like the book was printed in 1937 and up dated rules added in 1939 and stuck over the old one's. post-3823-0-56301800-1488118764_thumb.jpgpost-3823-0-50295200-1488118783_thumb.jpg

Very interesting and unusual that the book was used so long. I don't think they would have used these books later than the early postwar years in the West German zones, and certainly not in the East. Anything that reminded of the old Regime was hurriedly replaced, everything and everyone was "purged" as much as possible. This also included architecture and even whole cities and towns, buildings, which had survived the bombing, were torn down by ruthless postwar urban planners. This also included books, which had mostly been confiscated by the Allies anyway, all books were thrown out of schools and new, approved versions introduced.
