Airfix

;)

Was in Dobbies garden centre the other day and saw to my surprise that they are selling a good range of Airfix kits. I have seen a few shops stocking Airfix now a bit like when model kits used to be available from shops other than specialist model shops (very few of these now of course.) They are part of the Hornby group.

It's good to see Airfix on the up again, as a British company that issues British subjects (although moulded in China I presume.) They are relatively inexpensive as much as anything is these days.

Most of us started our military history interest with Airfix and war films so this will inspire youngsters now.

Its good to see Airfix back! :D

Brilliant they are in Dobbies that means I get get something practical when dragged their to buy a Petunia for the wife :1219:

Hamley's in St. Enoch also carry a good range of Airfix and Revell Models. So does the Hobby place out in the Fort shopping centre. Small sets for £5-10 can also be found in many WH Smiths shops too.
