Where was this taken, is it WW1 or Home Guard? The belt and cartridge pouches look unusual (1914 leather equipment?). The S.M.L.E. is immediately recognisable.

It's a ww1 tommy and was created by Ray Lonsdale, it was installed  in seaham seafront to mark the  centenary of ww1.

Yes a Great piece of sculpture most call and have a proper look next time I drive past the seaham turn off, been meaning to take the grandkids

to see the grey seals that live not to far from there.
