A silver candelstick in the style of mid till late 18th Century, has no hallmarks before 1871. Base has been filled out with plaster at a more recent date, also two holes for wiring and electrification have been crudely drilled into the object at presumably a post-WW2 date, wiring since removed.

The base is finely engraved with a gothic v.K. for an aristocratic name, the opposite side of the base has the commemorative date  -
d. 24t. October 1856 - old style of dating with a "t" beind the figure and Oktober with a "c" (pre 1860s). Significance of engraving not known. Age tarnish and patina, a few small dents, hairline cracks and scratches.

A set of cuff links, ca. 1900, Silver and Gold, each in the form of a cavalry or artillery officer Kartuschkasten, solid silver with crowned FWR monogram in gold. Not official, probably privately juweller made. No discernable silver marks, but certainly silver and gold, patina between the details of the monograms. Unusual. Case is not original, but from the late 1960s. Most certainly worn by a former cavalry or artillery officer.
