Buster
The wife got me this at Xmas , it's a United States airforce jet pilots survival knife or a 499 PSK (for short)These where designed in 1957 by the marble arms corporation of Michigan , but camilus & ontario won the military contract ( this is ontario manufactured ). The knifes where used in Vietnam by jet and helicopter pilots, but was soon adopted by other branches of the military and still is today . The saw back edge was intended for cutting through aluminium fuselage and Perspex , it also has a heavy pomel for hammering or cracking heads . The blade is made from 1095 carbon steel finished in zink oxide and is 5 inches in length, overall length 9.5 inches . They come with a very nice leather scabbard & a small sharpening stone
