Buster
Here is another of my deact pistols, its a the colt m1911, but if you look closer you can see its a clone. I didn't expect a great deal from this pistol when I bought it online as a space filler, but was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived, its a very nice representation of the original m1911, I changed the grips out from the WW2 style plastic ones for original rose wood style grips, other than that it feals & functions like an original colt 1911 I had years ago. It's incredable the difference in the tolerances between a 1911 & a luger! The Colts got loose movement with plenty of play! Whereas the luger is tight and engineered with incredable precision. Following its success in trials, the Colt pistol was formally adopted by the US Army on March 29, 1911, when it was designated Model of 1911, later changed to Model 1911, in 1917, and then M1911, in the mid-1920s.The M1911 was formally adopted by the Navy and Marine Corps in 1913.
