Swedish M1926 helmet issued to Norwegian police troops (Polititropper), trained in Sweden during the later part of WWII in special camps, officially refugee camps. The Polititropper was a military force, equipped with Swedish equipment. At the German capitulation, the Polititropper, now 13.000 men strong, became half of the Allied 'occupation' force, the other half being British troops.
