Fourth release of the Forces of Valor Extreme Metal 1/16 series is the Tiger 1 "Michael Wittmann Final Battle" Limited Edition of just 2000 pieces Worldwide. Each limited edition Tiger comes with its own unique "Certificate of Production" together with a boxed Michael Wittman figure. Also included are the four crewmen. Each is unique with different pose and facial expression. The engine is included in its own display box, there are also 2 full colour brochures detailing the history of the Tiger 1 at War and also the story of Michael Wittmann, the most successful tank commander of World War II.

The initial designs for the Jagdpanther were created in the fall of 1942. The purpose was to mount an 88mm Pak 43 gun on a self propelled vehicle. The Panther chassis was chosen and the armored plating configuration was changed. Approximately 420 units were produced in 1944.

The Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind is one of the most distinguishable German WW2 tanks. Built on older and sometimes battle damaged Panzer IV chassis, the Wirbelwind was an interim solution to defend against strong air assaults from allied aircraft. The Wirbelwind was armed with quadruple 20mm Flak 38 guns in an open turret designed with nine armored side panels.

The StuG III Ausf. G was one of the most cost effective tanks to manufacture in the German Army. The relatively low cost led to high production numbers. There were over 7,500 produced during WW II. The Tank Destroyer design was much simpler and much quicker to produce than the rotating turret designed tanks.

In the early battles along the Russian Front, the T-34 proved very formidable against the German medium tanks. However, by 1943, the newer German heavy tanks neccessitated greater firepower from the Russian arsenal. The T-34 was modified with a heavier armor hull and a more powerful 85mm gun.

The M3 Grant was a United States tank design that was modified for the British Army. The British Government had sought a complete British design, but had to accept a modified U.S. designed Tank. The British Army did not like the high profile of the standard U.S. turret, so they offered a lower profile turret with more crew space that would fit within the same turret ring. |
