Robert E. Lee

Ref: 789

Price: £99.99 / $198.98

Robert E. Lee is probably the most revered general in all of military history. Lee combined the knightly bearing of an Arthurian legend with the strategic and tactical brilliance of Napoleon Bonaparte. While Lees aggressive strategy during the American Civil War seems reckless to some, the brilliance of this strategy would have borne fruit if not for the limitless manpower and material resources of the North. While very often the victor in any engagement in a tactical sense Lee was doomed to defeat as the South lacked the ultimate resources to sustain victory on most any level. This hand painted. Limited edition sculpt is a stunning likeness of Lee at the pinnacle of success in 1863. From the photograph "Booted and Spurred" it is the warrior attired Lee that we all yearn to envision. Limited to 300 units worldwide.
