Swedish M1926 helmet issued to Norwegian police troops (Polititropper), trained in Sweden during the later part of WWII in special camps, officially refugee camps. The Polititropper was a military force, equipped with Swedish equipment. At the German capitulation, the Polititropper, now 13.000 men strong, became half of the Allied 'occupation' force, the other half being British troops. Miniture Armour of the 18th Century Polish Hussars ,Made from Sheet metal, brass and feathers!We are not sure how old this item is but it has certainly not been produced recently probably 1950's or earlier.Approx 19inches hign on wooden base.A very unsual item. VGC.
