Crashed on Meikle Bin, Campsie Fells.Based at Abbotsinch Glasgow 1830 RAF Sqadron. Very sadly, both crewmen died in the crash 1600 feet up Meikle Bin (ref, Scotsman Newspaper 10/1/50 "Scots Air Crash- Firefly wreckage on hillside")- the crew were pilot Lt. JAM Robertson RNVR and airman J Smith. |
