Kleidermacher Wien VI Schmalzhofgasse 28.Partially lined with field dressing pocket.This tunic was aquired from the same source as item 1005 WW2 German Rural Police tunic.It has a similar manufacturers label and we think it is possible both tunics belonged to the same man.The tunics were sourced in Eger which is an area in the Austro Hungarian region which was inhabited with many Germans.A couple of small nips one to rear of sleave and another just above 3rd button hole otherwise VGC

Waffen SS Officers tropical tan cotton tunic with bevo SS arm eagle and rare sleeve rank insignia for wear on uniforms without shoulder straps more often found on SS camouflage smocks.This tunic rank is SS -Standartenfuhrer which is the rank of Colonel.Size stamps to inside. as worn by men of the 'Reichsfuhrer SS Sturmbrigade ' stationed in Corsica.
